Testing email blogging

This is a test, using the email posting facility which shows up as part
of the Blogger setup. I'm not sure how this works, or if it works at
all, but it's worth a try.

Here's a new paragraph.

Well, it worked! I sent the text above to the appropriate email address, set my Blogger preferences to Publish, re-published my weblog — and lo and behold, there was what I'd emailed. But this all begs the question: Why would I want to do this? If I have access to an internet connection to send email, wouldn't I also be able to post normally through my Blogger gateway? Or is to do with 3rd-Gen mobile devices and all that sort of thing?
