This really, really is silly. I have nothing to say about anything. I'm merely writing this so I can see how Blogger treats a new day in the item list. It's 4.00 am. I couldn't sleep.

My main, well-established weblog is Jim's Rants. This effort on Blogger is an experiment more than anything else. I'm often asked what's the best way to get started with blogging, and the best way to arrive at a considered recommendation is to try something out. So now it's Blogger's turn.

About Me: I took early retirement in 1994 from the job I'd been in for 21 years and set up my own graphic design business which I run from home.
I met my first Apple computer in 1988 (a IIfx), fell for it big-time and have been hooked on Apple ever since. My present setup consists of Mac OS X v.10.3.8 running on both a 17" flat-panel 800 MHz iMac and a 14" 1.07 GHz iBook G4. Both machines are equipped with AirPort cards and my AirPort network consists of two AirPort Express units, hooked up to stream AirTunes to separate stereo systems in two different rooms. Both machines are Bluetooth savvy; the iMac through a USB dongle, the iBook built-in. I use an Apple wireless keyboard and mouse with the iMac.
